Time to Cycle! Five Day Ride

We will ride from London to Paris over the  course  of five days.  We will  connect with other cyclists at each step of the ride, skill-share through workshops, form teams, and organise towards our time in Paris. As messengers we will carry stories of hope from our communities, and display them loud and clear at the COP. Ride with us for climate justice and a livable planet!

Itinerary:
  •   December 5th: launch event in  London and registration
  •   December 6: Day 1  bike London to Brighton.
  •   December 7: Day 2  bike Brighton to Dieppe
  •   December 8: Day 3: bike Dieppe to Rouen
  •   December 9: Day 4: bike Rouen to Frenueuse
  •   December 10: Day: 5 bike Freneuse to Pairs
  •   December 11: Day 6  day of action in Paris
  •   December 12: Day 7  join the mass protests
  •   December 13: Day 8  train back to London from Paris

Cost:
Tickets for a place on the ride are £250 per person. The event is not-for-profit and we have done our absolute best to keep costs to a minimum, but some costs have been inescapable. Please consider asking your friends and family to help save our planet by supporting you to go on this ride! If you can, ask them to write down a message that you can bring to COP21 on their behalf.  Set up a fundraising page on www.kickstarter.com or www.justgiving.com.  We've attached here a document describing  some more ideas  on how to fundraise.
  •    The launch event in London
  •    Accommodation in Brighton, Dieppe, Rouen, and Freneuse.
  •    The ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe
  •    Mechanics to support us on  the  ride
  •    Vehicles to support us on  the ride and carry our bags
  •    Train ticket: Paris  London on Dec. 13th
  •    Transporting the bikes back to London
  •    Public  liability insurance

The ticket will also include some meals, although as these are being provided by the communities we're passing through we won't be able to tell you exactly how many meals  will be covered until a couple of weeks before the event. We may also be able to provide accommodation in London and Paris. We're working on this now.

Payment  schedule

1) £125 (50% deposit) by 1st November
2) £125 by November 16th

In order to reserve your place on the ride we must have a 50% deposit from you by Nov. 1st.  This is because we must pay the ferry and the train company shortly thereafter. There is also an option to buy your ticket in full at any time before this date. Please make sure to read and print our Terms and Conditions.

NB: Accommodation is  in community centres and churches  please ensure you have a good winter sleeping bag and a mat.
